My Shure E5c earphones arrived today. 1 month in shipping from the USA. Still they arrived. And look at that packaging. Thats aluminium casing. I was as lovely to open as the iPod itself. The idea behind these babies is that they plug into your ear canal, getting a good seal (just like ear plugs) to drown out ambient noise, and deliver excellent sonic performance. They should do, they cost a small fortune.

Unfortunately I came back from a Velvet Revolver concert at the SECC last night. My ears are still ringing, so I can't make a good assessment of these babies yet. And to make matters worse, the SECC acoustics are so bad that you couldn't make out the songs being played, it was just noise. Big disappointment as VR are one of my favourite bands, and Slash is my favourite guitarist.
